AutoPutty - Advanced Putty Connection Manager

Putty is a small remote telnet / SSH client software that allow Webmaster remote their Linux/Unix servers via SSH or Telnet connection. However, putty doesn’t provide many features.

But here is putty replacement application called as AutoPutty, which consider as Advanced Putty application that provide more management features and connection method. AutoPutty allows Webmaster manage PuTTy sessions and automatically login to them. In addition to that, AutoPutty also connect to your servers through a a variety of different ways like Putty, WinSCP, Microsoft Terminal Server, and VNC.

To establish a remote connection to remote linux / unix server with AutoPutty is simple. All you need is enter the Name of the machine, the hostname and port of the machine in the Hostname[:port] option, Username andPassword of the remote system. Then choose the Type of connection, it could be WinSCP, VNC, Remote Desktop, Putty etc. You can connect to multiple servers at once using either the Enter key or the right-click context menu.

Beside that, you may add another server configuration to the existing list of servers by clicking the + button. TheSettings button lets you change some common settings and you can remove any particular system from the list by selecting it and pressing the delete (X) button.

So, what you can do with AutoPutty:

- Manage a server list and connect thru PuTTY, WinSCP, Microsoft Terminal Server and VNC (only VNC 3.3 encryption is supported for passwords yet),
- Connect to multiple servers at once using the “Enter” key or the right click menu
- Import a list from a simple text file
- Protect the application startup with a password (note that the list is always encrypted)
