2. type %appdata%\mozilla\firefox\profiles
3. It shows a Windows folder has a name like xxxxxx.default (the name may not be same in all computers but the end with .default wording).
4. Open the folder and then copy the file prefs.js to a safety location.

In future, if you mess up the configuration of firefox (about:config). you can simply close firefox application and restore back prefs.js back to its original location.
