You said that you can use the Iobit Game Booster for better performance while watching high definition, does that mean it is safe to use while surfing the net?

This is a great program. I’m not an advertiser or anything. This program is freeware and just shutdowns unneeded services that you won’t need while gaming. Most people will just see a modest gain for me it was pretty good with my somewhat below average video card. There are no ads with it, it doesn’t automatically start up when windows loads. I’d recommend it if you got average cpu/graphics and need all you can get. Be warned though that you might not want to disable things like your antivirus program.

I have had this thing installed for a while, but yesterday when I updated my anti-virus, the thing said this contained a virus. Before that, everything was all good, but because of what happened yesterday, I had to uninstall it because my computer would not allow me to use it. If somebody could tell me what the heck is going on, I for one would greatly appreciate it.

The virus (i’ve seen it also now) I only think your antivirus is being pissy about gamebooster shutting those programs down. I’m not 100% sure but i think its safe. Seeing as i have not downloaded the latest update and before our antiviruses updated it was fine. Probably just our antiviruses sending out false positives. Although if i’m wrong please let me know @ Pyrise@gmail.com

well, i do agree that everything was fine before the update. Here’s how it went down for me.
1)Game booster updated, I think about a week went by, maybe two, everything seemed fine. Used it probably 10 times.
2)Then AVG updated. Then the virus warning. So maybe a false positive, or a new definition to recognize a new virus? I’m no expert, but will continue to investigate.
I guess I am about 70% sure it’s safe, but not 100%

this game booster is shutting down system services in order to boost your games (but under your control) with backups
—————————————————————————
this is what a virus can shut down your system sevices too {in a bad way}
—————————————————————————
this is why most virus checkers give a false possitive
cos it thinks this will hurt your pc… this is not the case
————————————————————————–
i have been using software made by IObit for a long time
Eg..advanced systemcare pro & gamebooster is built into
the interface of this program too
——————————————————————————-
so no its not going to hurt your pc it is a good litte program
