I am using Kingsoft’s Office. It has two products, KSO2007 which is free and Kingsoft Office 2009.. Both of these look and work identically to Micrsofts products. We purchased a site license for our school at under $500 dollars and never needed to look back
Thanks Kingsoft!

I have been using open office for three years, and have found every version I have used better than the Microsoft equivalent. My only complaint is that I am learning to program spreadsheets in school, and the teacher is using Excel, which I do not have on my laptop (It only came with Microsoft works and there is no way i will pay 100$ for Microsoft Office.)some of the command syntax for the Macro is not the same, which it makes it very difficult for programming. I am still not sure what new software I will need for full MS Office compatibility, but I have heard good things about GNU Office GNUmerator, so I will be giving it a try. Anyone used it before?
-If you aren’t doing programming, give open office a try.
