Loudtalks – Voice Communication in Walkie-Talkie Style

ADVERTISEMENTS

loudtalkslogoLoudtalks is a free VoIP walkie-talkie like service for Windows XP and Vista that allows you babble away with your friends online without having to go through the hassle of dialing up or waiting.

Loudtalksquote_leftLoudtalks brings voice back to the internet communications. It’s a little application, which allows you to talk to your friends or colleagues instantly with a single touch of a button. Think walkie talkie. It’s faster than text chat and more convenient than calls. Loudtalks is available for Windows right now, but we are working hard to bring it to other platforms soon, including your mobile phone.quote_right

Talking with your online friends and buddies has never been so easy, just attach a microphone to your computer and holding a key on your keypad while you talk, just like how a real life walkie-talkie works.

Loudtalks runs in the background and can be activated with hotkey without even opening the Loudtalks application from the system tray.

Keyboard shortcuts:

F7: Push-to-talk button. Hold this button while speaking to transmit your message. This shortcut works in all applications (even if Loudtalks window is hidden).

Ctrl + F7: Talk lock button. Use this combination to start sending a longer message. Use F7 to stop the transmission.

Shift + F7: Repeat the latest message.

Loudtalks is free, you can download it from http://loudtalks.com/download/. Visit the Quick Start Guide for a step-by-step guide on how to setup and use Loudtalks.
