ScanR – Scan, Copy and Fax with Your Camera Phone or Digital Camera

ScanR, mobile document scanning application that allows you scan digital picture into a PDF file format and share digital PDF scanning file via email, as an sms, or as a traditional fax. It utilize an optical character recognition (OCR) engine to captured 100% of the document page and business card as searchable text. For documents, the text is saved both in the result PDF file and in a text (.txt) file that can be downloaded in “My Scans”. For business cards, the recognized text is saved as a vCard (.vcf contact). Meanwhile, The standard text fields will be captured by scanR are names, phone numbers and email addresses from some other locations. Plus more, scanR mobile document scanning able to read US and Canadian formatted cards in English at this moment.

How ScanR Works on Mobile Phones:

To use Scanr scanning services, all you need to install scanR application on  mobile phone. Then you can start snapping a pictures of the document and scan, copy or fax it to other people in PDF format via MMS or Email.Once you have taken a picture and send it to scanR via MMS or email. Then ScanR service will cleans the photos of whiteboards, documents and business cards, extracts the printed information, and delivers a digital file to your email, contact manager or fax.
