Weblin is a chat messenger that allows you to see which other people are on the same website you are on. Weblin users appear as a small avatar in the form of their own photo or a self-selected figure at the bottom of any Web page. They can see all other Weblin members are visiting the same web page at the same time, turning Web pages themselves into virtual worlds.

Weblin makes you and others on the Web visible as small avatars. There are others on the same page you are on right now.Weblin opens a new and exiting world on every web site.

You can create a web avatar of your own by selecting a weblin character or uploading a picture. Your avatar will appear at the bottom of your web browser window where you can use it to communicate with other users via chat balloon, chat room or private chat.

It works like standard Instant Messengers, where you can have a list of friends, be notified when they come online, change profile, show online status, invite friends, and so on. You will find all the settings and functions by right-clicking on your Weblin character.

To create personal bookmarks, click on the butler, open “Applications” and choose the Service you want. Here you can save, recommend, view and rate websites.

Weblin is free, you can download it from here. It is available in English and German. It plans to launch in other languages, including Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish soon.
