You need a DX10 capable video card and Windows Vista to run DX10, period. By the time anyone manages to come up with a stable and feature-full version of DX10 for XP, XP will be discontinued so don't waste your time. And if you don't want to or can't upgrade to Vista, stick with DX9 because the hassle of trying to get DX10 on XP is NOT worth it. DX9 is fine.

I dont want to run risks yet, i will stay with my DX9c untill this DX10 became more stable, its a great job that this guys done, most of pple would turn to Windows Vista just for use DX10 in their games to see HD content, but leaving WinXP users without DX10 its really annoying, Microsoft just want us to pay them to upgrade to Vista, they could have easily made a DX10 version for XP

FFS, there's no such goddamn thing as DX10 for XP. Stop trying and just upgrade your computer already. API used to write XP is different from the API used to write Vista/Win7. DX10 drivers have only been written using the new API. Whatever this is.. it's not DX10.

Apparently working. Dxdiag shows DX10. HL2 reports “software DirectX = DX10?.Uau!!!…. But….. apparently, my Radeon 4850 Catalyst 8.11 XP drivers, DON´T support DX 10. It´s useless OS supporting DX10 while your drivers doesn't support it. DX10 games doesn't install, because they tell they need Vista to play in DX10 mode. Comments? anyone really played games in XP in DX10 mode? With Radeons? Catalyst version?

also I noticed the guy with the intel 82945 graphics, you won't be playing ANY and I stress ANY dx10 game with integrated agp graphics and a single core cpu

there is a graphicX folder that should be on the desktop after dx10 new edition is installed.
use the dx reg files to switch between 9 , 10 , 11

look it up on google and you will find it..
it has a new updated addon which copy's all the new dx10 & dx11 files straight to system32 at T13 of the install..

I downloaded this and it worked and all, But it screw's around with the NIVIDA Driver's and turn's it into a realy bad DX 10 version.With Pop Up's coming up all the time about my DX and missing files. When i Downloaded this i realised it overheated my computer alot more faster and added only a little bit more texture to games, its a good program and all but its not stable and you cant change back to DX 9 unless reinstalling Window's.
