vDrive (Virtual driver), A free virtual drive creator application that allow you easily mount any folder or directory in your computer as a virtual drive. This free virtual folder creator application comes in handy especially when you regularly need to work with a particular folder. Plus more, you can even assign a drive extension to the selected folder and give it a label of your choice.
To mount a folder or file directory as virtual drive is simple, just right-clicking on the folder of your choice to bring up the context menu, then select the “Map virtual drive” option. Then a window will be displayed with several virtual drives options that you can configure. You can specify the drive letter for the virtual drive, enter the label name for the drive and select the mapping options.
Besides that, vDrive also offers two different folder mapping options – permanent and temporary mapping. For permanent mapping, the mounted virtual drive will not disappear when you restart your computer. While in temporary mapping, the mounted virtual drive will no longer exist after your computer restarted.
To unmount a virtual drive that you created, you can simple right-click again the virtual drive to bring up the context menu, then select the “Unmap virtual drive” option. And, then the virtual drive will disappear.
